Objective
Check the static and seismic strength of a bridge within the scope of increasing its hoisting capacity to 6,3 tons.
Context: Existing bridge crane (Bugey and Chinon centrals), designed to withstand static load of 5 tons.
Main operations
- Modal analysis: using ANSYS, estimation of the resonant frequencies in Hz and participating masses.
- Seismic calculation (spectrum analysis type) with CQC recombination.
- Analysis of the mechanical stress and postprocessing with the permissible values of RCC-M.
- Calculation of the maximum movements, accelerations and speeds.
- Calculation of the reaction efforts at the anchor locations.
